Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV personality in the United States and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. With her trademark spiky blond hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals straightforward, simple techniques to master to cook at home on her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in the best New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. While growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion of cooking and food from a young age. After obtaining an English and Communication diploma from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America. The student says "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I enjoyed every moment." I was never able to learn or do enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She gained a deeper understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions while in Italy, which has influenced the way she cooks. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the lives of children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of childhood diabetes. In her capacity as an inspirational speaker, she is on the road to speak about her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Anne always felt fortunate that she was able to share her passion of her life, cooking with others.
