Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz, (pronounced NOH-vitch) is an Canadian actress from Canada. Most well-known is her roles in ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama series as Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress, was born Maya Hartwell. Recently, she starred as Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is Polish and lived in Poland for one year in her ninth grade. She lived with her uncle in Poland, and went to Jelenia Gola school. Later, she studied at Vancouver Film School. After her brother introduced her the Pulp Fiction, she became attracted to acting. In 2002 she began her first acting appearances on the TV series Jeremiah. She was also a guest on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she played the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008, she appeared in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand as a regular in the television drama Caprica, with Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. Hellcats was her next appearance. In 2012, she guest starred in Jane Espenson's second season of her romantic comedy web show, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz appeared as Emily in the show Continuum In addition, she was in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. Although it was filmed in 2012, The Green Inferno was international released in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science fiction thriller film Volition. The film was released in 2020. In the year 2019, Apanowicz was cast as Sandy in the second season Netflix thriller You.
